January 2020
Happy New Year!
Welcome back! We hope you have all had a lovely Christmas and New Year celebrations. We have got lots of exciting things planned for 2020, so keep your eyes peeled.
Our Books of the Month
We will be reading “Poems for the Very Young” and then kicking off the year with a special dinner guest … make sure your kitchen cupboards are fully stocked, because we are reading “The Tiger Who Came To Tea”.
Hello and Goodbye
Sadly in January, we will be saying goodbye to Olivia in Pre-School. She is off adventuring in Australia and we wish her the best of luck. Don’t forget to send us a postcard, Olivia!
A couple of our staff will also be moving to different rooms within the nursery. Vega from Toddlers will be moving to Pre-School and Ava (also from toddlers) will be moving to Babies. They are both very excited to get to know all the lovely faces in their new rooms.
Sessions
Now that we have moved into the new year, we are due to have a considerable increase in numbers of children. This does mean that it will become increasingly hard to swap or increase sessions - particularly as we move into the Spring term. We will always do our best to try and accommodate requests, but this may not always be possible.
Pre-School Swaps/Sessions
From February any swapped sessions in Pre-School must be within the same week. In addition to this if you are wishing to change your booking pattern it must be done at beginning of the term, we are unable to amend booking patterns mid term. Apologies if this causes any inconveniences, but this is all so we are better following the guidelines set out by BANES.
Reminders
A polite reminder that any buggies left with us must be collapsed, we have a large number of buggies and limited storage. If you are entering the baby room, shoes must be removed, even if you are only entering for a short period of time. We have a lot of young, crawling babies and although you are all careful where you are stepping, a misstep whilst wearing shoes could cause a lot of harm. Please remember that food should not be brought into the nursery, we have a lot of children with various allergies.

What have we been up to?
A massive thank you to Santa, for taking the time to come and visit us!
I think it’s a football!?
Winter Wonderland
It’s snowing inside!
Toddlers got creative making snowmen using different wintery materials.
Pre-School got into the festive spirit, they decorated their eco-friendly tree and played pin the carrot on the snowman!
They handmade all of the decorations.
So close!
Babies relaxed whilst exploring fairy lights, things then got messy as they dipped Christmas decorations in gloop!
Absolutely amazing.
