Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
Can anyone else believe that its December already? The chilly weather is definitely here to stay!
This Month at Grosvenor
This month has been packed with Christmas activities! Don’t be surprised if you walk in on us rocking out to some festive music!
Our Learning focus this month is express arts and design. We have been working hard to make our mark in many different ways.
Our book of the month is The Nativity by May Eliot, Illustrated by Richard Johnson
Grosvenor Grotto & Santa’s Visit
On Tuesday 18th December we will be visited by the one and only Santa Claus! We welcome everyone to come and meet Santa between 9:30 - 11:30. If this day is not your child’s normal day please email or call to book in a time slot so we can create some order in this chaotic month!
We kindly ask that if you usually leave your pushchair, scooter, bike, etc, that you take it with you on this day. We will not have any room in the office to safely store any of these items on this day.
Christmas Party
Our Christmas Party this year will be on Wednesday 19th December between 3 -5pm. We again would like to welcome everyone to come and join in the fun and games even if this is not your child’s regular day. Please come join in the festivities!
Welcome Back!
Welcome back Amy Lloyd, who will be taking over as nursery manager from Lyndsey when she takes her maternity leave. Lyndsey’s last day will be Friday 11th January 2019.
We would also like to welcome Lauren Pettitt to our team. Lauren will be based in our baby room (totalling three Lauren’s in the baby room!) so make sure to say hello.
Chilly Weather
The cold weather has set in and is here to stay for the next few months! Please remember to bring appropriate clothing for you children every day including hats, gloves, winter coats and layers!

Reminders
NURSERY HOURS
The Nursery is open from 08:00 to 18:00. Unless you have a pre-arranged early drop off, we kindly ask that you do not ring the door bell before 08:00, as we will not be able to let you into the building until 08:00.
MOBILE PHONES
Please remember that it is against Nursery Policy to use your mobile phone in the nursery. If you need to answer a phone call, please ask one of our staff to let you out before you answer.
Sparklers and S’mores Bonfire Night
Our Sparklers and S’mores night was so much fun again this year!! Thank you to all the parents who came and joined in the fun. We love when our parents come and visit us at nursery.
