It’s time to take down the tree and settle in for a new year! Wishing everyone a very happy and healthy 2019!
This Month at Grosvenor
You might catch us out and about this month as our learning focus is Outdoor Learning. Lots of garden activities planned!
Our book of the month is various versions of everyones favourite, The Gingerbread Man
Time has flown and Lyndsey’s last day will be January 11th before she goes on her Maternity leave. Make sure you say goodbye before she goes! We are also sad to announce that our Aussie admin Kati will be leaving us in February to (selfishly) continue her worldly travels. Our new admin will be starting at the end of the month and she will have many new faces to learn, so we ask for your patience at the door while she is learning!
In recent months there has been a heavy increase of children, especially babies registering for Grosvenor. If you are pregnant or due to register a sibling we urge you to register them as soon as possible to avoid missing out on your desired sessions. Our waiting list for Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday for the Baby room is currently full until January/February 2020. Likewise there is little movement in our toddler room on Monday through Thursdays until September this year!
30 hours Funding
On the same note as our busy waiting list, if you know/think you will want to increase your child/rens sessions when they become entitled to the funding (from the term after their third birthday) please let us know as soon as possible to again avoid disappointment.
It is still yet to snow this winter but it has still been freezing! Please remember to bring appropriate clothing for you child/ren every day as we get outside every day. This includes hats, gloves, jackets and layers!

What have we been up to?
Toddlers were feeling wintery creating textured snowy scenes…
… and warmed up with some orange and yellow, painting patterns with pinecones
Babies were also feeling the chill, crating a messy and fun curiosity tray…
… and were thrilled with their visit from Father Christmas.
Pre-School have been busy baking loads of mince pies and tarts, because ‘tis the season! …
… and joined in the messy play with some snow that curiously looks like shaving foam!
