Broadwood news
As many of you will be aware Amy who was Manager here at Broadwood has been on Maternity leave with her second child and I have been covering her role as Manager since last April. Amy will be returning soon on a part time basis and will be working on Tuesday’s and Wednesday’s and we are really looking forward to having her back as part of the team. I am pleased to inform you all that I will remain as the full time Manager here at Broadwood and would like to say a big thank you to you, our wonder families, for being a pleasure to work with since I have taken on the role.
Sadly, we are saying goodbye to Beth, our head of babies and deputy manager this month. We wish her all the best for the future and thank her for all of her hard work during her time at Snapdragons.
A big congratulations to Matilda, who will be our new Deputy Manager and will continue to be our head of toddlers.
World book day
We would like to say a massive well done to all the children who came to nursery dressed up as their favourite book characters in celebration of World Book Day. The day was full of lots of exciting activities and the children enjoyed showing of their fantastic costumes and here are just a few for you…
Children’s toys
A kind request that where possible, toys are not being bought into nursery, this is especially important during the current pandemic to reduce the risk of infection. It is difficult for staff in the rooms to ensure that all children’s toys from home are kept safe and when toys go missing it can be upsetting to the children. Comforters are more than welcome to come along to nursery.
Ready, Steady, School!
The RISE trust are running a virtual course for parents of children that are starting school in September. The course covers a wide range of topics that will help you support your child as they begin their new adventure at school. The course runs over four weeks after Easter and is delivered via Teams on Wednesday’s between 1.00pm and 2.00pm.
