Our Babies have been having fun exploring the garden this month, they have also had fun with different textures of sand and paint.

The Toddlers had an exciting trip to the local shop! They enjoyed looking around and chose some yoghurt and fruit which they helped prepare for their afternoon snack.

Pre-school have been exploring letters and sounds. They had a lot of fun using instruments at the same time to play around with rhythm and sounds.

Recipe Corner

Carrot & Sultana drop scones

Ingredients

100g wholemeal/white self-raising flour
1 tsp ground mixed spice
1 large egg
80g grated carrot
4 tbsp plain yoghurt
100ml semi skimmed milk
30g sultanas or raisins
1 tsp vegetable oil

Method

Put the flour, mixed spice, egg, grated carrot, yoghurt and milk into a large mixing bowl and use a hand whisk or fork to mix together thoroughly.

Stir in the sultanas or raisins

Heat a non-stick frying pan over a medium heat. Add 2-3 drops of oil. Cook tablespoonfuls of the batter in batches, turning them over after 1-2 minutes to cook the other side. Make 8 drop scones altogether, adding a further 2-3drops of oil to the frying pan with each batch.

Keep in a food bag or airtight tin in a cool place for 2-3days.

Pre-school Leavers

We are fast approaching that time of year when our preschool children will be moving on to big school. We would really like it if you could share with us which schools your children have been accepted into, this is to help us support your children transition into school. It would also be great if you could let us know when your child’s last day might be, although we’ll be really sad to see them leave!

Term Dates

May Half Term - 29th May - 2nd June

Summer Term - For children who recieve early-years funding, the term will end on 14th July.

For children 0-3 who are not recieving funding, the term will end on 21st July.
