Welcome Back
Finally, we have been able to welcome you all back into the building to collect your children! Thank you for your patience and support over the last year, we’ve really appreciated your help. It is so lovely to see all of you in person again (not through a window) and show you where your children are spending their days. Let’s hope this will remain in place through the winter and that we continue to take steps back to normality.
We have had some staff changes over the last few weeks, our lovely Kira has gone to pastures new, joining the team at Keynsham as Baby Unit Coordinator, which is a much deserved promotion within the Snapdragons group. Kira has been a big part of the Weston team for 7 years and is going to be missed!
Alex has joined us for the interim, but we are currently recruiting for a new Room Head on our Baby floor. As soon as we find the perfect person, we’ll be sure to introduce you!
Snapshots from the last few weeks…
There has been the usual hive of activity at Weston over the last few weeks. The children have welcomed the Autumn weather with open arms. Babies have been collecting natural materials from the garden adding these to paint to see what marks they can make. Our toddlers have wrapped up warm and been out in the garden, splashing in puddles and watching the hot air balloons travelling above the nursery. In Preschool they have foraged our fruit trees for an abundance of apples and plums to take back to the kitchen to make a lovely crumble for their pudding. A real “field to fork” experience - or should that be “plum to pudding”?
Thank you
The children had lots of fun baking up a storm for our recent cake sale and thanks to your generosity we raised an impressive £190 for Macmillan Cancer Support. Thank you so much.

Middle Ground Growers
An amazing project is taking place not far from the nursery, Middle ground growers are creating an ecological farm from scratch with the hopes of producing local produce for 400 homes in Bath. Ecological farms are fully sustainable, working with nature and providing employment opportunities as well as helping to regenerate our environment.
The team have recently been granted planning permission for a solar barn and two polytunnels but need the help of the local community to help fund the first few years of their project. Please check out their crowdfunding page for more information
Millie’s mark
Following the success of our Millie's Mark award this year we are looking for ways to continue learning and developing, strengthening our own knowledge and sharing with others. We have heard interest from parents about learning more too and are pleased to be able to offer Parent Online First Aid courses. Snapdragons will subsidise some of the cost of this course meaning we can offer it to anyone interested for £20 per person. This cost can be added to your nursery invoice. If you are interested in completing the course please contact me on hayley@snapdragonsnursery.com or speak to someone in the office at Weston. Look forward to hearing from you soon.
