Staff News
First of all, we would love to say a huge congratulations to Torie who married Joe earlier this month - I think we would all like to wish them all the best and a lifetime of happiness.
We also welcomed Jeorgia, who will be joining us in the Panda room - if you see her around, make sure you say hello!
A Walk Around Weston
Babies and Toddlers have been out exploring Weston Village in the winter sunshine. They took a stroll in to the Botanical Gardens, where they spotted some waddling friends.
Splish, Splash, Splosh
Flamingos were loving the wet weather this month. They put on their welly boots and rain jackets, and found the biggest puddle to jump in!
For those who didn’t fancy a trip in the rain, Flamingos were testing out their scissor skills. They drew lines on paper and used a steady hand to cut along them.
Keeping with the theme of water, Puffins were busy making predictions on which items would sink or float.
Puffins were also getting ready for the big screen - they were acting out ‘Goldilocks and the three bears’ during live action storytelling. Once they had finished performing, they noticed some items which were left behind by the bears. The children sorted the items in to different sizes: large, medium and small.
Exploring The Senses
Back on the baby floor, the children decided to find all the pots, pans and other metallic items and decided to start a band. They loved banging all the items together to explore the different sounds.
Babies also took a trip down to the sensory room, where they were greeted by colourful lights, various fabrics and other sensory items to explore.
