What have we been up to this month?

Babies

Babies had a disco this month, they enjoyed dancing around the disco ball with their light up tubes.

For Mother’s Day, the babies made some lovely cards to take home. As always, they loved the feeling of the brush as it tickled their hands. Thank you to all the parents that attended our Mother’s Day event, it was lovely to have you and to spend a bit more time with you.

For World Book Day Shirehampton decided on a pajama day, which went down well as always in the baby room. Everyone looked so snuggly with their favourite teddy and book.

Toddlers

For World Down Syndrome toddlers dressed up in fancy dress. They also took part in odd sock activities which included decorating their own funky socks and drawing them as well.

For St David’s day, toddlers did some observational painting and painted daffodils. As well as this, they made their own flags out of play dough.

Pre-School

This month pre-school have been learning all about the life cycle of a plant, they then used this new knowledge and planted some cress. They packed their tub with cotton wool, used the pipette to soak it in water and then sprinkled the cress seeds on top.

Pre-school also celebrated St David’s Day and did some observational paintings of daffodils and the Welsh flag.

As the temerpature continues to rise, pre-school have decided to start planting their seeds. Everyone was very careful adding soil to the pot, adding the seeds, and then adding a drop of water. Another Spring activity involved a springtime water tray in which pre-schol added flowers to their water tray, chooped them up and then mixed the colours together.
