About Redland

Snapdragons Redland is set in a leafy residential conservation area surrounded by greenery, including two children’s parks on the doorstep. Toddlers and preschool children are each based in separate beautiful Victorian villas, linked by a modern glass atrium.

The babies have their own Baby Pod, a single-storey modern building with access to dedicated garden areas alongside the main garden. As with all Snapdragons nurseries, the interiors are furnished with natural wooden furniture and high-quality resources designed to encourage curiosity and open-ended play.

The setting also includes a stunning children’s kitchen and bistro dining area, as well as a hall equipped with a stage and an indoor climbing feature.

Megan has many years experience of teaching in schools and nurseries, and has been at Snapdragons Redland since 2020. She is also a Local Specialist Leader for Birth to Threes, working across Bristol to champion quality care and education in the early years. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her family, playing board games, and cooking new recipes.

As Head of Early Years Practice for Preschool, Alice has over 12 years experience working in childcare and education. She has a Masters Degree in Children's Literature and loves integrating literacy throughout children's learning. Alice is also currently training for her Level 3 qualification in Forest School, and has a passion for supporting children's development and play in the great outdoors. Alice enjoys being out in nature, reading, pottery and embroidery, and spending time with her small daughter.

Aimee has always had a passion for childcare, even as a young teenager she knew she wanted to pursue a career caring for and teaching small children. Having aquired an apprenticeship and working her way up through various roles, Aimee has a wealth of experience within nursery life. She joined Snapdragons in 2022 as Preschool Room Head, before becoming Unit Coordinator for Toddlers in 2024, and Deputy Manager in 2025. She is currently studying for her Level 3 Early Years SENDCo Award. Aimee loves reading books, watching films, and playing with her two adorable cats.

Leah joined the team in June 2023 as Unit Co-ordinator for the Baby Pod and continues in this role, now renamed Head of Early Years Practice for Babies. She holds a degree in Early Childhood Studies and completed her Early Years Teacher training in 2019 at Plymouth University before moving to Bristol. Having heard great things about Snapdragons, she was excited to join when the right opportunity came up. Leah is passionate about supporting the youngest children in their development and creating nurturing environments where they can thrive. Outside of work, Leah enjoys spending time outdoors, going on walks and hikes, and exploring the green spaces of Bristol with her husband and her little boy, Louie.

“All children, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND), make exceptional progress in this beautiful and inspiring setting. Babies gladly reach out for their key person as their parents drop them off. Toddlers and pre-school children rush with eager anticipation to enter their rooms. They excitedly explore the activities staff have expertly provided for them. The curriculum is exceptionally and uniquely well-sequenced. This ensures all children succeed from the day they start.”

Fee Increase

Fee increases may occur throughout the year. If there are any changes to your nursery fees, you will be given at least a month's notice of these.

Funding

For children attending sessions funded by the Early Years Entitlement, an Enhanced Provision Charge of £2.30 per funded hour will be applicable.

This charge covers everything that Snapdragons offers that is above and beyond the EYFS curriculum including meals and other consumables. The EPC is calculated for the whole funding period based on the total number of funded hours we will pass on in the term. This total charge will then be divided equally across the months covered by the funding period.

All children aged 3+ can claim 570 funded hours per year, working families may also be eligible for the working parent entitlement funding. For children who attend nursery on an all year round booking the funding is applied over 51 weeks of the year, up to a maximum or 11 or 22 funded hours per week dependant on eligiblity. If your child attends nursery on a term time only basis, the funding will be applied to your term time booking over 38 weeks of the year. This will work out as up to 15 funded hours per week or 30 dependant on your eligiblity.

Hours

Snapdragons is open from 08:00-18:00, Monday to Friday throughout the year. The full day session includes all meals. Flexible arrival and departure times can be arranged to suit individual needs at an additional fee. We're closed between Christmas and New Year and no fees apply.

TTO

Term-time only fees include a retainer charge for holiday periods. A discount will be applied to the sessions of full-time children, following any funding deductions. Discounts are also available for siblings.
