March 2024

Welcome to this months newsletter - It has been such a busy month full of lots of different celebrations,
events and many new experiences for our children.

Babies

The babies loved looking at books this month and dressing up for world book day!
We have also been using the projector, looking at the different colours and shapes that it makes on the wall;
the babies have been really entranced by this!

Toddlers

Toddlers really enjoyed making fruit kebabs, we spoke about the importance of healthy eating, and our favourite foods! We carefully cut up our fruit and then slid them on to the skewers; We then enjoyed eating them too!
We also explored rainbow waterfalls where we poured coloured water through the shaving foam which we pretended was clouds and then watched the colour spread through the water, we added different colours and watched them mix together to make new colours!

Rising Three’s

World book day we dressed up as the Wizard of Oz and ordered a new book to read the the children will all of us as the characters. We celebrated Holi by getting the powder paint out and turning the children in to rainbows too! We have been going on listening and sound walks in the forest looking for the signs of spring such as blossom, daffodils and blue bells!

Preschool

Preschool have been incredibly busy over the month of March. They started the month creating snails food by practicing our cutting. Using courgette and kale mashing it together with water and then painting it onto the snails tank. We spoke about what nutrients this would give the snail and watched him slither around the tank as he enjoyed his new tasty treat. We also celebrated Science week, getting involved in lots of different experiments.
Finishing the month with lots of observational drawings and planting our own cress seeds too.
