Wow what a month July has been! We have been enjoying the warmer weather and have been saying goodbye to some of our children who have started to leave for school!

We have some exciting news to share at Snapdragons, Keynsham! Our lovely Ella (EYP and Deputy Manager) has been successful in her interview for the Managers role at Snapdragons, Cribbs Causeway. Ella has worked at Keynsham with us for nearly 4 years and had the role of Head of Pre-school before becoming Deputy Manager. She has had such a positive impact here and we are going to miss her energy and smiley face but we know she will be amazing at her new role!

Please can we remind parents to bring in a cup or water bottle for your child to use throughout the day. Can I also remind you that it should contain water only. We do not promote squash at Snapdragons as it does damage children’s teeth.

Graduation will be happening on Saturday 21st August and it looks likely we will do it in time slots for groups. We will aim for these to happen in the morning and finish around lunchtime. We will be in touch with more details in August.

Please remember to carefully read Hayley’s COVID update emails as there has been some changes on how we deal with positive cases and the isolation period. Also, she has mentioned in the email that if children have a temperature, they will not be able to return to nursery until they are 24 hours fever free. Please had a read to fully understand the new guidance and if you have any questions please feel free to drop us an email.

Babies have had a busy month trying to keep cool with lots of water play as well as gloop play with dinosaurs. We have also been washing our dolls and brushing their hair as some of us are due to have new siblings soon so we have been busy practicing to be able to help our Mums and Dads!

Dragonflies

Dragonflies have been exploring ways to keep cool! We have been exploring ice play and have liked getting each other wet especially with the hose pipe! One of the new things we have discovered is rice play and the sound it makes when we drop it from and into different containers.

Butterflies have had lots of fun this month! We have had fun in the garden with Tim painting with mud, we picked fruit in the garden and then made our own smoothies. We have been cooling down with water play and been fascinated by watching our snail trails on the tank.
