November 2021

This month called for Halloween themed messy play for the babies!

Reminders to follow whilst in the building

  • If you have a phone on you, please make sure you’re NOT using it inside the building.

  • Masks are MANDATORY while inside and in the rooms during pickup.

  • We ask that only ONE parent comes inside the building for pickup so we can manage the amount of people in the rooms and building at one time.

  • A staff member MUST let you out of the building when you are ready to go so we can monitor who is coming in and out. Please just pop your head into the office and we would be more than happy to let you out (we don’t bite).

Rain, rain go away

The dark and wet mornings are finally here but that won’t stop us from having that outdoor time we all love. Splashing in puddles will become the main event when heading out to the garden over the coming months and in saying this we ask if you could please bring your child in the appropriate clothing with a spare set of clothes, so they won’t have to miss out on any chance to dance in the rain. Please make sure all clothing items are sent in with labels on them as I’m sure you can imagine how many of you shop in the same places. What we require for a wet day filled with fun:

  • Waterproof coats and trousers if you have them

  • Wellies

  • Mittens

  • Hats

  • Change of clothes

All dressed in pink for our breast cancer awareness fundraising week. Thank you for all your generous donations to the cause, we raised £157.00 in our bake sale!

Our next set of events

November 3rd: Sparklers and Smores Night

We will be holding a “night” of sparklers and smores with our forest school leader from 5-6pm on the 3rd of November. We will be supplying everything needed so if you would like to come and join in the fun in our garden, we would love to have you there. Make sure to dress appropriately as we can’t guarantee the weather and make sure to pack your mittens!!

December Christmas Party

Get your best Christmas sweater/outfit ready as will be holding our annual Christmas party on December 21st. We will be providing a picnic and some festive treats for all to enjoy whilst playing games and of course showing off our best dance moves to tons of fun Christmas music.

December Santa’s Grotto

Our office will once again turn into a Santa’s Grotto looking like a beautiful winter wonderland (we hope). More information and a date will be confirmed about this when we determine who our Santa Clause will be this year.

A trip to the pumpkin patch with preschool.

Ahead of December

Christmas closure dates: We will be closed from the 25th of December to the 3rd of January inclusive, as January 3rd is a bank holiday, and we will not be open.

We know this time of year can become remarkably busy for everyone and with being open on Christmas eve we would like to be proactive in the sense that if your child will not be attending nursery on the 24th, could you please let us know in advance as we would love to be able to give as many staff the day off as possible. We are offering to swap this day for another day in December if you would like to have your child off but not miss a day of nursery. If this interests you or you already have plans to have your child off on Christmas eve, please send us an email about swapping the day then we can have a look at our availability in advance and arrange a day that works best with our numbers and for you.

We are in need of a Santa Clause

Unfortunately, this year we are without a Santa Clause and are looking for any volunteers who would be happy to come and have some holiday fun with us for a day dressed up as the big man himself. Start practising your Ho Ho Ho’s and let us know if you would be at all interested in joining us as it will be like being a celebrity for the day!
