January 2021
Happy New Year!
We hope you all had a lovely festive period and a brilliant New Year; we are so excited to have you all back!
Books of the month
I hope your cupboards are fully stocked because we will be reading Judith Kerr’s classic ‘The Tiger Who Came to Tea’ and there will be lots of silly rhyming as we read ‘Poems for the Very Young’.
Goodbye!
Sadly, we will be saying goodbye to Zahria our Nursery Administrator. Her last day with us will be Friday 5th February. We will all miss her and I’m sure you will all join us in wishing her the best of luck on her next adventure!
Pre-School drop off
Please remember that pre-school children should be dropped off at the back gate (Ringswell Gardens) between 08:00 and 09:15. If you arrive after this time, the gate will be closed and you will need to use the front door. Pre-school children with younger siblings also attending nursery are welcome to drop off at the front door.
Safer Operating Procedures
Just a refresher on some of our procedures in relation to COVID-19. Children are currently not permitted to attend nursery if they have had Calpol or any other medicine that may disguise a temperature. In addition to this we understand that children will be picking up more coughs and colds at this time of year, however in these uncertain times we cannot afford to take any chances and so any child with a persistent cough or temperature will not be allowed to attend Nursery until they receive a negative test result. We have also been informed that ‘mottled’ skin and sickness may be symptoms of COVID-19, and so you may be asked to get a test should your child present with any of these.
If you are required to get tested, please be aware that we do not accept the lateral flow test results.
