Welcome Back!

We would like to say a massive welcome back to all the lovely children it has been so nice seeing you all again! We would like to say a huge thank you to each and every one of you for supporting us with our safer operating procedures. We know it can’t be easy to just drop off at the door and not be able to see the nursery, but we really appreciate how supportive you have all been.

I would also like to say a massive thank you to you all for making me feel so welcome!!

Nursery structure

As you may well know the rooms at Corsham have had some funky names over the years however due to an Ofsted recommendation and the COVID-19 guidelines we have restructured the names and how the children are grouped. So just for your information:

Koalas and Wallabys is now – Babies

Elephants is now – Toddler 1

Chimps is now – Toddler 2

Crocodiles is now – Preschool AYR

Griraffes is now – Preschool TTO

Babies will be aged 0-2 years and move to one the toddler rooms around their second birthday (there will always be flexibility within this though, we will look at the childrens individual needs).

Toddler 1 & 2 will be aged 2-3 years and they will move to the preschool room the term after their 3rd birthday (when their funding kicks in!)

In regard to term time only and 9:00-15:00 sessions, please be aware that we do have them available but only a certain percentage per age group so they may not always be available. Sessions in the Preschool TTO room are strictly between the hours of 9:00-15:00 only.

Child emergency details

We are in the process of updating all our records since returning to nursery, many of you have completed the following form, however if you haven’t completed this since May 2020 please can you complete it as soon as possible.

The Corsham team

I think we can all agree that the Corsham team have done an absolutely incredible job at returning to work and settling the children back into nursery life, We hope that you have all found the transition to have gone well and are happy with the procedures we have in place. Please don’t hesitate to contact me if you have any concerns or worries regarding drop off or pick up.

Most of the Corsham team will be returning over the next couple of weeks so we hope that you enjoy seeing those lovely faces again, however there will be some staff that won’t be able to return as quickly due to personal reasons. I will be placed at Corsham for the foreseeable so hopefully that will give you some reassurance and consistency – please do come and chat to me with any concerns though!

Drop off / Pick ups

The divided entrances for Preschool and Babies/Toddlers seem to be working well and certainly minimising the wait time during the busy points of the day so we will continue to do this until further notice. Thank you so much for your patience and understanding around this, we really do appreciate the support! Please be mindful that sessions don’t begin until 8:00am, if you’re on a 9:00-15:00 session please do not drop off before this time unless prearranged with us.

After school club news

The most talked about topic of conversation – as you all know we are not currently running any provision for the out of school club, this is due to the government restrictions of children mixing across different sites in one day. We don’t know at this point when this will be relaxed so are unable to give any guidance on when this will be reopened. We will of course be the first to let you know anything as soon as anything changes, we understand that this is frustrating as you can’t forward plan, but our intention is to open the out of school club as soon as it is safe to do so.

For all those that currently have space in our out of school club, it would be really helpful if you could email the nursery (corsham@snapdragonsnursery.com) to confirm that you still require the space as normal for as soon as we reopen so we can ensure everything is in place. We have had many requests for changes in sessions so please bear with us on confirming these sessions as I’m sure you can appreciate it is difficult to answer the queries at the moment but we will do this as soon as we can.

What we have been doing!

We thought it would be nice to share some photos of what we have been up to since returning to nursery as you are unable to come in and see, we will share regular updates so you can see what fun we have been having – so enjoy these photos!!
