It’s nice to have you back!
We would like to say a big welcome back to the children returning this month, it’s lovely to see more of you back with us! The team are working hard to get to know the children’s new interests and routines but if you do have anything that you would like us to know feel free to send us an email.
Festivals and Events
As we approach a new academic year we are starting to look at the different events and festivals we celebrate at nursery and would like to get some ideas from our families here at Broadwood. If you celebrate any special festivals or days we would love to here about them so we can add them to our diary!
Class of 2020
It is the time of year that we start to say goodbye to some of our Preschool children as they head off on their next adventure at school. Sadly, we are unable to offer a Graduation day this year but the Preschool team have been working hard to ensure the children have lots of fun for the remainder of their time with us and we look forward to sharing the Preschool year book with you soon! We would like to wish all the children all the best for the future and thank you for allowing us to be part of your children’s precious early years.
Medication
We would like to remind you that if your child has had any temperature relieving medication e.g Calpol or Ibuprofen before attending nursery we will be unable to take them for that day. This is due to the possibility of the medication masking a temperature during the child’s session and therefore a potential case of COVID-19 may go undetected, as always the safety of the children in our care and our staff is paramount. We really appreciate your ongoing understanding with this.

Team news
Sammy
In September we will be welcoming back Sammy who will be moving from our Toddler room to our Term time only Preschool room. Sammy is looking forward to joining the Preschool team and getting to know all of the children.
Congratulations to Sophie who is expecting her second child, due in November.
Here comes the sun!
It’s been lovely to see the sun back with us over the last week or so and the children are enjoying spending lots of time outside. Please can we remind you to ensure your child has a sun hat and sun lotion at nursery, with their name clearly labelled on them so we can continue to enjoy the lovely weather safely.
