July 2020
Welcome Back!
We would like to say a big welcome back to all our children that will have returned to nursery in June and also to all the children that will be returning this month, it has been lovely seeing you all back. We also like to say a big thank you to you all for your cooperation and understanding during the last month whilst we have implemented our safe operating procedures, we understand that it has not been easy leaving your children at the door and not being able to enter the nursery but your support has been really appreciated.
Now we are a little busier throughout the nursery we will be sending your child’s bag home each day, this is to allow us the room to socially distance the children’s bags as much as possible.
Please can we also remind you that where possible children should not be bringing toys to nursery, this is to prevent the spread of infection.
Child emergency details
We are currently in the process of updating our records since we have reopened and we know many of you have completed the emergency details form for your child/ren, if you haven’t already done so please can you complete the form using the following link as soon as possible.

Broadwood Team
The team here at Broadwood have worked so hard over the last month and have done a brilliant job of welcoming the children back and settling them back into nursery life. We hope that you are happy with the transitions and procedures that are in place, as always if you have any concerns or worries regarding drop off times please let us know. In July we will see the return of most of our team and i’m sure the children will be happy to see these familiar faces.
We would also like to take the opportunity to provide you with an update on staffing, Matilda who was working in our baby room has moved over to our toddler room and will be leading the team as our head of toddlers. Matilda is looking forward to getting to know all of the toddlers.
Drop off and pick up points
Going into July we will be staying with the current drop off points (preschool children to be dropped off at the preschool garden by entering through the gate to the left of the building if arriving before 9.15am and toddler and baby room children to be dropped off at the usual main entrance) these have been working well and waiting time is minimal, so we will be continuing with this until further notice. We appreciate your support and understanding with this and thank you for your patience. Please can we ask you to be mindful of when your child’s session begins and ask you not to drop your child off before then.
Out of school club
As you are aware we are not currently running any provision for out of school club, this is due to the government restriction regarding the mixing children across settings. We are unsure of when these restrictions will be relaxed so we are unable to give you a date of when we will be able to offer this care again. We understand that this is difficult for many of you, with not being able to make plans going forward but would like to reassure you we will be in contact with you as soon as it is safe to reopen the out of school club. For those of you who already have your child booked in it would be really helpful if you could contact us by email to let us know if you still require your space when we reopen so that we can ensure everything is in place and correct.
