Who
we are

Snapdragons opened in January 1998 in a farmhouse in Atworth, in response to local demand for high-quality full daycare. It developed an excellent local reputation and has since expanded into Bath, Bristol and other sites in Wiltshire. Snapdragons is a family-run business that can react quickly to local needs but, more importantly, can respond personally to the families that it serves.

Setting a benchmark for all other nurseries

We genuinely want our nurseries to be the best and we want nursery experiences to be memorable and fun. We realise that it is vital that we earn the trust and confidence of you, the parent and that you are happy with what we do and how we do it. Together we can produce happy and confident children who enjoy living in a culture that nurtures and values the importance of a happy childhood and gives children the opportunity to maximise their full potential and become well-rounded citizens of the world.

No hidden fees

You shouldn't have to worry about gathering together a bagful of items every morning. Snapdragons lets you focus your attention on the most important aspect - your child.

At Snapdragons there are no hidden extras. Your child's meals*, nappies and formula milks are all included in the fees you pay. Any additional classes you request for your child are entirely optional, so you only pay for the one you want.

There are several ways to assist with paying for your childcare with us. We accept payments by debit card or bank transfer. You can also pay via tax free childcare, and we accept most childcare vouchers (operated by your employer). You may also be eligible for tax credits (that offer extra financial support to help with everyday costs) and the nursery grant scheme (subject to eligibility).

At Snapdragons we offer up to three free settling in sessions before a child starts with us. We also have a sibling discount in place (subject to a minimum number of sessions) to make sure that you have the best value for money possible. Please speak to the team at the nursery or contact our accounts team if you would like any further guidance or details.

Healthy eating

During the day, your child will receive a freshly prepared two-course lunch using locally sourced ingredients, snacks, afternoon tea and breakfast, if required. Fresh fruits and vegetables are always on offer and menus are available for parents to read. Read more about our healthy eating policy here.

*Meal charges may be applicable for children attending fully funded sessions. Read more on our funding page.
