Warleigh Lodge Trip
At the end of last month our Pre-school leavers took our annual trip to Warleigh Lodge Farm. The children fed the chickens & goats, rolled down a bank, had a ride on a tractor and lots more. Pre-School Graduation
It’s been a busy month for our pre-school leavers and the end of July saw our Pre-school Graduation. The rain couldn’t dampen the celebrations as we said a fond farewell to some of our children before they move onto their next chapter at school.
Toddler Stay & Play
This month we hosted a stay & play session with our toddler families. Thankfully the sun was shining and our toddlers had great fun showing off their garden and playing some games.
Chef’s Corner
Quorn Bolognaise
Ingredients
1tsp tomato puree
150ml veg stock (veg bouillon)
300g Quorn Mince
2 tbsp Olive Oil
1 onion, finely chopped
2 cloves of garlic, crushed
200g mushroom
400g tomato passata
2 carrots, finely chopped
pinch of chopped basil
Method
Pre-heat oil over a medium high heat, add the onion and carrot and cook for 2-3 minutes, stirring often. Add the garlic and mushrooms, cover and cook over a medium/high heat, stirring frequently for 3 minutes.
Increase the heat, add the Quorn mince, passata, tomato puree, and veg stock. Stir well, cover and cook for 8-10minutes. Finish with basil and season to tatse
Serve with pasta, rice or bulgar wheat.
