Easy 3 Ingredient Banana Bars

There’s no added free sugar in this healthy take on a flapjack and it uses just three ingredients! A great, easy recipe to get your children helping in the kitchen.

Makes 10 bars

Ingredients

6 ripe bananas

400g oats

1 tsp ground cinnamon

2 tsp water

Method

  1. Heat oven to 200°C

  2. Peel the bananas, put them in a large mixing bowl and mash with a fork.

  3. Add the oats, cinnamon and water and mix into the bananas.

  4.  Line a baking tin with baking parchment and pour in the mix, press down firmly with a spatula to compact the mixture in the tin.

  5.  Bake in the oven for 20-25 mins or until golden brown and firm to touch. Remove from the oven and leave to cool.

  6.  When cool, place the tray in the fridge to chill, then remove and slice into bars. Enjoy!

    Change it up and make banana bites! Shape into 20 balls and lightly press the top to make a fat cookie shape! You can also add dried fruit, grated apple or carrot, dried coconut…..let your imagination run wild!
