Updates and what we have been up to this month
Staffing update:
We have a couple of new staff members joining us this month. Eleanor will be joining the baby team and Magdalena will be joining us as part of our lovely lunch time assistants. A warm welcome to both of them!!
Babies
The babies loved exploring this under the sea set up using torches to find the “swimming” fish!
They also loved large scale painting last month and got very messy as they explored the different coloured paint!
Soft play is always a fun activity for the babies, the tunnel is always a great photo opportunity as the baby team always manage to catch a smile as the babies exit the tunnel.
Toddlers
Toddlers practiced their cutting skills last month, they practiced by cutting up their snack time fruit.
It was ‘water theme day’ last month. For this, toddlers made some of their very own jellyfish and had lots of fun searching for the different sea animals in the water.
We have recently had a new light box at the nursery and so toddlers used this to explore shapes and shadows.
Pre-School
Preschool made some egg muffins with cheese and enjoyed learning how to crack eggs!
Invisible threads came in for a dance lesson during June. Pre-School went on an imaginary adventure in the woods and met lots of woodland animals along the way including, deer and rabbits. They loved making the feathers float and popping the bubbles.
Pre-School also held the Snapdragons Olympics inspired by their story of the week ‘The frog Olympics’, they had several events including the three legged race, egg and spoon, and sack race. They seemed to have lots of fun as they competed in their teams of green and red.
