The garden is transformed at Keynsham

After weeks of hard work, the new play area at our nursery in Keynsham is finally open and the children could not wait to start exploring.

After weeks of hard work, the new play area at our nursery in Keynsham is finally open and the children could not wait to start exploring.

Designed by Earth Wrights, the playspace is completely bespoke and marks a unique and different approach to our outdoor areas at Snapdragons.

The first plans for the new garden

The first plans for the new garden

Breaking from the norm is always a scary prospect, but when we first saw the plans Earth Wrights had, we knew we were making the right choice. The gardens at the Keynsham nursery have always had a different look to them than the others and so we wanted something that could capture that individuality and incorporate the natural elements the garden has.

As the children watched the garden being constructed, you could see how excited they were for it to end and they needed no encouragement to head onto the new equipment, carefully climbing across the scramble nets, up the ladders and through the tunnels.

We are delighted with the outcome of the project at Keynsham and if any of the parents would like to take a closer look, please do so - we hope you like it as much as we do!

The fun of the farm!

One of our favourite times of year is when we get to experience the fun, excitement and enjoyment of Warleigh Lodge Farm, as our pre-school children embark on an adventure to explore the farmyard and meet (and feed) and animals.

One of our favourite times of year is when we get to experience the fun, excitement and enjoyment of Warleigh Lodge Farm, as our pre-school children embark on an adventure to explore the farmyard and meet (and feed) and animals.

This year was as packed with excitement as those that came before it, with many more happy faces seeing the farm for the first time.

As always, we’ve produced some event videos for each nursery, so you can just how the children got on during their visit, so find your nursery below and take a peek! We’ve also got photo galleries available, so make sure to have a look at those too - we got some great shots!

The infamous Warleigh Lodge farm trip was a ball this year, The sun shone bright and the children ran fast. The Pre-schoolers from Shirehampton didn't waste time getting stuck in at the farm. They ran straight for the stream, and had a bumpy ride on the tractor to feed the cows. They had some hungry lambs to feed and some eggs to collect from the chickens before they went home.

The hotly anticipated Warleigh Lodge Farm trip was incredibly fun. It was a very hot and sunny affair this year for the children at Horfield but a quick splash in the farms stream was very refreshing. The children also enjoyed the Magic Tree, a wonderful tractor ride, roly poly races and got a taste of what working on the farm was like as they fed the goats, chickens, collected some eggs and finished off by feeding this years lambs.

Weston were eager to get exploring on this year's farm trip, charging straight down to the field to squeeze into the tree before riding the tractor! They also had the chance to feed some hungry goats, chickens and lambs! They loved it!

We’ve got a new recruitment evening coming up next week, at our Keynsham nursery on Thursday 23rd May, from 18:30 - 19:30.

Anyone is welcome to join us, no matter your experience, qualifications or opinion on the last season of Game of Thrones*. We want to meet you all!

Our Keynsham nursery can be found right by the roundabout on the Keynsham bypass - that same roundabout with Waitrose, KFC, Dominos… yeah, you know it. It’s a free-for-all, so you don’t need to let us know you’re coming, just pop along on the evening. We’ll make sure it’s worth your while.

Perhaps you know someone who’d be ideal, so let them know what’s happening and point them in the right direction. They’ll thank you for it after.

We’ll hopefully see you all there!

*Only joking, you can’t come if you don’t agree how awesome it was. **

**No that was actually not true. Anyone can come.
