September 2024

Welcome to this month’s newsletter, where we look over the month of September.

Baby Cottage
The Baby Cottage had great fun outdoors exploring our mud kitchen in a variety of ways; using the pots and pans to fill and empty,
as well as making music. Babies wrapped up warm to head out in our new Turtle Bus, we went on a little wander to notice the sounds,
smells and sights outdoors. Lastly, back inside we continued our interest in filling and emptying containers as we added
ingredients together to create our own Banana Flapjack.

Baby Loft

The Baby Loft have had a great September! It’s been full of smiles and treasure. We’ve welcomed some new babies this month and have enjoyed taking part in different activities: riding the turtle bus and making our own flapjacks.

Toddlers
“Run, run, run, as fast as you can! You can’t catch me, I’m the gingerbread man” Toddlers read the story of the gingerbread man and then we made our own ginger biscuits.
Toddlers love to explore so they created their own treasure maps, we scrunched them up and stained them with tea bags to create an authentic look.

Preschool

Beep Beep! In preschool we have raced on the bikes and scooters, weaving around obstacles and exploring different speeds whilst developing out gross motor skills.

Signs for the Month

News, Reminders and Dates for the Diary

Parent News and Reminders

Please remember to check back on last months newsletter for the upcoming dates over the next couple of months.

Christmas Dates

Can we please remind parents that we will be closed for the week between Christmas and New Year. We will be closing on Christmas Eve and reopening on 2nd January 2025.

(Children who are on our old term time only booking pattern will end on Friday 20th December and will return on Monday 6th January 2025)

We do ask that you make us aware if you are not planning to bring in your children over the Christmas period so that we can plan accordingly for the month.

Gates and Doors - Can we please remind all parents to ensure that they are closing doors and gates behind them when arriving and leaving in the evening. The stair gates are used for the children’s safety so please ensure you are closing as you pass.

Sharing Library - We see so many families using the sharing library which is amazing - However we have noticed that a few books have not been returned - Could we ask that if you have any books that they are returned for other families to use. Or if you have any books you would be happy to donate then send them our way.

Love from the Keynsham Team xx
