Book of the Month

We have 3 new friends in the nursery this month, but they’re not children...
they might be as messy…
they might be as nosey…
but they will never be as cute!

The “3 little pigs” are taking over story time this month. Support us in developing children’s literacy development by reading this story at home too!

Holi
“festival of love”, “festival of colour” and “festival of spring”.

Holi is known as the festival of love, spring and colour… you only have to take one look at our Holi photo album to see that our staff and children really got on board with all three of these objectives!

Each year we celebrate this festival we have more fun that the last! We can’t wait for next year. There are some more pictures attached at the bottom for you to get a glimpse into our fun filled day!

Easter Activities

Happy Easter and happy spring! We hope you all had a lovely Easter weekend and bank holiday. We would love for you to share any special pictures from the long weekend, it’s a great learning opportunity for children to share their home life with nursery. Send them across to grosvenor@snapdragonsnursery.com . A special furry friend with a cute bunny tail will be joining us this week for our annual Easter egg hunt. Easter egg hunts are proof that your child can find things when they really want to, there is definitely more motivation when delicious treats are involved!

Here Comes the Sun

With spring comes flowers and with summer comes sunshine. This is just a reminder that as the weather gets warmer to pack appropriate clothing for your child to wear out to the garden. That includes sun hats and bringing in your own labelled sun cream. Please remember that we are no longer supplying nursery sun cream. Please remember to provide this so that your child doesn’t miss out.

Covid Procedures

Just a refresher on some of our procedures in relation to COVID-19. Children are currently not permitted to attend nursery if they have had Calpol or any other medicine that may disguise a temperature. In addition to this we understand that children will be picking up more coughs and colds at this time of year, however in these uncertain times we cannot afford to take any chances and so any child with a persistent cough or temperature will not be allowed to attend Nursery until they receive a negative test result. We have also been informed that ‘mottled’ skin and sickness may be symptoms of COVID-19, and so you may be asked to get a test should your child present with any of these. If you are required to get tested, please be aware that we do not accept the lateral flow test results.

Moving Rooms

We have had some of our Toddlers move down into our preschool room this week! Just a friendly reminder to all parents doing drop off, all Pre-schooler’s get dropped off around back in our garden and one of our lovely team will be there to collect them from you. Pick up will still be as per usual out the front of the nursery!

Get to know the Nursery

With these strange times during Covid and not being able to see each other face to face we thought we would make it easier for you to get to know us if we told you a little bit more about our team. We will be putting together a get to know the staff section for you, so you have a better idea of who everyone is. Each room will have a picture and a short bio of themselves so you will get to learn a little more about them. We will send the links out for this in the next couple of weeks.
