A huge congratulations to Lucinda who has taken on the new role of Head of Early Years practice along side Kirsty. She is already doing a fantatsic job and we know she will continue to do so.

Its a very sad goodbye to Tayla, who leaves our baby room in March. Tayla is pursuing her personal training business. We thank her for all of her love and care for our babies, not only here at Cribbs but also at the Shirehampton site where she was previously based. Tayla will be missed by our team and babies.

Babies have been busy getting out and about in the community over the past couple of weeks. They’ve enjoyed some exciting walks where each little explorer had their own tick sheet to spot things along the way and then make a mark to show they’d found something. They have also been visiting the library for rhyme time on Tuesdays, joining in enthusiastically with the singing and then choosing different books, which they point to or talk about as they look at the illustrations.

Toddler 2 had an exciting visit and was able to join in with cycle tots, first they learned about safety and we spoke about the importance of having helmets on and how they keep us safe. We then followed the raimbow stripes around and learnt how to control the bikes we were riding by being shown by our instructor.

Children’s Mental Health Week 9th-15 February

The theme for Children's Mental Health Week 2026 is 'This is My Place', and our aim is to support the systems around children and young people to help them feel they belong. Children's Mental Health Week takes place every February. It was started in 2015 to give a voice to all children and young people and to raise awareness of children and young people's mental health.

Pre School 2 have had a very exciting week exploring cooking; they even baked their own cookies. They practised counting and measuring different ingredients, then carefully mixed them together to create some delicious homemade treats!

Preschool 1 have been learning about Chinese New Year. We have made colourful lanterns, created shiny gold coins and carefully folded our own red envelopes. We enjoyed exploring different traditions and creative ways to celebrate the Year of the Horse.

Toddlers did a reading challenge over the Christmas break, lots of children contributed. Here are some photographs of the top contribution from one of our toddlers!

Has someone done something extra special to help with your child or your family, please don’t forget to vote your Snappy Superstar! The team can use their nominations to collect stars and exchange for vouchers, sweet treats and experiences.
