About Broadwood
Snapdragons Broadwood is a purpose-built nursery next door to Corsham Primary School’s Broadwood site. It is at the heart of a thriving residential community on the outskirts of Corsham with good road links to Bath and Chippenham. The nursery provides a safe, nurturing, and inspiring environment where children can learn, develop, and thrive. All the children’s rooms have level access directly to the gardens which have areas for construction, bikes, forest school and gardening. We regularly run forest school sessions with our qualified forest school leaders in our own garden as well as the school's forest area adjacent to our grounds. We're also lucky to be close to the local park which we often visit. We love being creative with natural and recycled resources, including activities like making paper, painting with natural dyes and junk modelling which help children understand sustainability. Being close to MoD sites, we are attuned to the needs of our military families and have supported with the emotions and transitions of parents working away. We are proud to have a multi-lingual team and make speaking other languages a core part of our everyday routine. We love to give back to charities who support our community and our generous nursery families help us raise money for charities such as Springboard School. Children's happiness, health and wellbeing are central to everything we do so there is an emphasis on outdoor play, healthy food and safe, nurturing environments. The nursery has a Food for Life Gold Served Here award from the Soil Association and is a Millie's Mark setting, which means that every staff member, including non-childcare colleagues are paediatric first aid trained.
