It’s certainly gotten colder (and windier!) over the last month and we’ve been putting on our winter gear to keep nice and warm. We’ve had a very busy November with our own bonfire, getting creative with arts and crafts and meeting Pudsey Bear for Children in Need!
“Remember, Remember the 5th of November”
Fireworks Night - also known as Guy Fawkes Day, Guy Fawkes Night and Bonfire Night. We got into the festivities for the night by getting crafty with everyday items and paints to create our own fireworks! The children really enjoyed mark making with different colours.
Go Play Outside
Come wind, rain or the cold we’ve been making the most of the daylight and playing outside! A good chance to warm up our limbs and get some fresh air!
Everything around you is numbers
Preschoolers have been learning their numbers in unique games our practitioners have come up with!
Making and Baking
We’ve been busy in the kitchen again this month and learning how to make food and drinks from scratch including some delicious smoothies!
Children in Need
We raised a massive £169.35 for Children in Need this year!
Thank you to everyone who donated, to both the staff and children for dressing up in your pyjamas and for making some amazing headbands! We even got to meet the famous Pudsey Bear himself! All the children were very surprised and got lots of hugs!
Getting ready for Christmas!
Where has the year gone? One minute we were celebrating a very quiet New Year and the next the Christmas lights are being switched on all across the country, people in shops buying gifts and decorating their Christmas trees!
Here at Redland we had some help from the children with decorating our, rather large, tree which I am sure you have all seen at the main entrance alongside other festive activities.
Snapdragons Redland Christmas Events
We have lots of upcoming events for you all including the Preschoolers Nativity Play on the 7th of December. All parents should have received an invitation on their child’s timeslot - if you have not please let us know!
We also have our Christmas Parties coming up across our all our groups!
Babies - Wednesday 15th December 2:00-4:00pm
Toddlers - Tuesday 14th December 2:00-4:00pm
Pre-School - Thursday 16th December 2:00-4:00pm
Our Practitioners are also more than happy to discuss details with you!
We also have Christmas Jumper Day on Friday the 10th of December so make sure you are dressed to impress and help raise money for the ‘Save the Children’ charity.
We’re also inviting your children to dress up as an Elf for Elf Service Day on Monday the 20th of December to help raise money for our Hospitals located in Bristol City Centre, South Bristol and Weston-super-Mare.
