Ingredients

½ red onion chopped

1 clove garlic crushed

A small bunch of mint (chopped)

400g minced lamb

½ teaspoon sweet paprika

½ teaspoon Dijon mustard

1 egg

Pinch of white pepper

Vegetable oil

Instructions

  1. Heat oven to 200C.
  2. Gently sauté the onion and garlic in a little vegetable oil until softened but not browned then remove from the heat and allow to cool slightly.
  3. In a large bowl combine the lamb, mint, paprika, mustard and cooled onion followed by the lightly beaten egg. Mix thoroughly and shape into burgers.
  4. Place on a baking tray lined with non-stick baking parchment, brush lightly with oil and bake for 20 minutes or until browned and cooked through. 
  5. Serve in a wholemeal bun with fresh salad and adressing of diced cucumber, shredded mint and natural yoghurt.
