About Snapdragons

Snapdragons developed in January 1998 from a farmhouse in Atworth in response to local demand for high-quality full daycare.

It developed an excellent local reputation and expanded into Bath and other sites in Wiltshire. Snapdragons is a family-run business that can react quickly to local needs but more importantly can respond personally to the families that it serves.

We genuinely want our nurseries to be the best and we want nursery experiences to be memorable and fun. We realise that it is vital that we earn the trust and confidence of you, the parent and that you are happy with what we do and how we do it.

Together we can produce happy and confident children who enjoy living in a culture that nurtures and values the importance of a happy childhood and gives children the opportunity to maximise their full potential and become well-rounded citizens of the world.

Early Years Foundation Stage

Designed to teach and educate your child through fun and engaging activities, Snapdragons embraces the EYFS and introduces its own methods to set a new standard of childcare.

The EYFS was introduced into nurseries in September 2008. It consists of a statutory framework for the Early Years which sets the standards for learning development and care for children from birth to five years. The practice guidance documents support staff in assessing a child's progress and helps them to provide the best learning experiences for all babies and children.

The aim

The aim of the EYFS is to ensure that every child is given the opportunity to learn through high quality play experiences and that they will be supported through this journey by their relationship with their key person.

Key person system

The key person will plan key experiences based on your child's interests and stage of development and will observe and monitor your child. We believe that parents are the primary educators of their children and we welcome parental contributions to the learning that takes place at Snapdragons.

All Inclusive Fees

You shouldn't have to worry about gathering together a bagful of items every morning. Snapdragons lets you focus your attention on the most important aspect - your child.

At Snapdragons there are no hidden extras. Your child's meals, nappies and formula milks are all included in the fees you pay.

Healthy eating

During the day, your child will receive a freshly prepared two-course lunch using locally sourced ingredients, snacks, afternoon tea and breakfast, if required. Fresh fruits and vegetables are always on offer and menus are available for parents to read.

Costs

There are also many ways to assist with paying for childcare such as childcare vouchers (operated by your employer), tax credits (that offer extra financial support to help with everyday costs) and the nursery grant.

At Snapdragons we offer free settling in sessions with parents and sibling discounts to make sure that you have the best value for money possible.
